Revision and curation

Once a request for publication is opened, the ARC is reviewed by the DataPLANT’s reviewer board.

  1. The ARC reviewer communicates the revision via the ARChigators publication status page

  2. An ARC reviewer might request changes to metadata entries to meet certain quality criteria. For this, revision comments are added as “work items” (i.e. the issue board) directly to the ARC repository via the DataHUB. You can find them in the left sidebar:

  3. Depending on the community, different quality standards may be required for the ARC publication. These may also be supported by a community-specific ARC validation in addition to the invenio validation.

  4. The work items allow the ARC submitters to directly respond on specific reviewer comments or ask questions.

  1. The ARC submitter can either directly curate the ARC in DataHUB or via common ARC tools (e.g. ARCitect or Swate). This depends on which parts of the ARC need to be adapted to meet the quality criteria.
  2. Once all critical reviewer comments are resolved, the ARC submitter may request another revision or final request for publication. This can be communicated via the ARChigators publication status page.
